Monday Open Access Clinic (Mornings only)

We offer a 'sit and wait' clinic between the hours of 8.00am - 11.30am on a Monday - you will not need to book an appointment, you can arrive at the surgery between the above hours and you will be seen.

The Doctors and Acute Illness Team will be calling patients accordingly to their arrival time and will begin calling patients in at 8:30am.

We cannot guarantee which Health Professional you will see or how long you will have to wait, but can ensure that you will be seen.

Please note that this clinic will be held every Monday morning, or on a Tuesday following a Monday Bank Holiday

How to Book an Appointment

Ring 01778 393399 to book an appointment .

Appointments can also be booked online .
However, patients using this service must apply for passwords through Reception.

Urgent cases are seen on the day.

If your condition is non-urgent you can expect to see a GP within a few working days, though you may have to wait longer to see a particular GP. Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. You can expect to see a nurse within one working day.

Please tell us if you are in a telephone box, and say immediately if your call is an emergency.

Let us know if more than one member of the family needs to be seen. We can give you a longer appointments if necessary, so as the family members can be seen together.

Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination, this will be arranged for your appointment. We will also arrange a private room to discuss any matters, if requested.

Remember that the result of tests can only be given to the patient themselves.

Additional Surgeries

The Practice runs additional surgeries for routine appointments on Saturdays between 8am and 12 noon and Monday evenings between 6.30pm and 8pm. (not including Bank Holidays).  These appointments are with the GP only and must be booked in advance.  Appointments may be made in the usual manner.  The doctors take it in turns to be available, therefore you will not be able to choose your GP.

No Treatment Room or Dispensary facilities are available and the phone system will remain on the usual weekend message. The receptionist on duty will not be able to issue repeat prescriptions.

Ring Back Service

If you feel that your problem needs to be dealt with that day (or sooner than the next available appointment) the receptionist will not ask you any further detailed medical questions and will add you name and number to the ring back service. A Doctor or Practice Nurse will telephone you back and discuss the problem with you and from there arrange the most suitable plan.

We do not operate a walk-in service except for emergencies. For patients wishing to see a nurse or doctor on a same day basis, please ring the surgery first. This will avoid any potential long waits and we may have routine appointments available.
