Contraceptive Services

Lakeside Healthcare at Hereward GP launches awareness campaign for contraception services

Today, we’re excited to launch our ‘Know Your Options’ campaign, aimed at raising awareness about the diverse range of contraceptives available and the services we provide.

We recognise the importance of having access to accurate information and personalised care in contraception. That’s why we offer a variety of contraceptive methods, including birth control advice, contraceptive pill prescriptions, and Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services. This enables you to select the option that best supports your health, lifestyle, and personal preferences.

Dr Lindsay Taylor, one of our specially trained doctors who provide contraception care and services, said: “Sexual health is an important part of our work in Primary Care. It can not only reduce unwanted pregnancies and reduce sexually transmitted infections, but it also gives our patients the opportunity to be in control of their reproductive health, whatever their stage of life. Contraceptive choices can be confusing, so it is incredibly important to talk through options to find the most suitable for each patient. We would encourage our patients to contact us to discuss their individual concerns.”
