Bourne staff take part in Rutland parkrun

Lakeside colleagues from Bourne and Stamford took part in Rutland parkrun and are encouraging other colleagues and patients to get involved too.

Stamford and Hereward surgeries are both ‘parkrun’ practices, promoting the benefits of fresh air and exercise. Events take place all over the country every Saturday and anyone can join in the fun by walking, jogging, running, volunteering or spectating.

Dr Tom Ashley-Norman from Bourne took part, along with doctors from Stamford and members of the neighbourhood and administrative teams. Social prescriber Jo Dunlop said: ‘The Parkrun Rutland team gave us a great welcome, volunteers were really positive and encouraging. The coffee and cake at the end was well earned! We will be taking part as a team again and will be sharing dates on our practice Facebook pages so that anyone who wants to come and take part with us will be very welcome.
