However, I do feel that telephone consultations aren’t the best as I feel that face to face offers a much better environment in which to discuss problems especially personal topics. Also, I feel hurried when talking on the phone and feel I can’t convey certain things when having a telephone call.

I had to seek advice about the poor state of my son who complained about flu like simptoms along with chest and back pain. I was called back by Dr. Faisal and, although I imagine they're pretty busy, he offered us an appointment within the hour. It turned out to be a chest infection so I am really glad that we've been seen on such short notice. Dr. Faisal was very friendly and gave us all the information about the condition and the treatment. Thank you

I experienced an unexpected health problem. As a result I called the Medical Centre. A telephone consultation with a doctor resulted in a thorough in- person consultation and a hospital appointment the following morning. I couldn't have expected more from the service.

I would rather have the option of seeing a clinician instead of just a telephone consultation. I feel I would have been more reassured and had a better service if I was seen face to face. A telephone consultation is great for annual reviews and updates, however for someone who doesnt use the doctors very often, I would want to see a clinician for most accute issues.

The standard of care is v good if you can eventually obtain access to it through the admin process. In general public opinion regarding having to call the surgery at 08.00am to get a call back consultation appointment with a healthcare professional is considered as totally unacceptable. As very often all their appointments for the day have been taken.So when can it be changed?

Great service from the Doctors and staff. Very helpful and very willing to help you with your medical issues. Call backs are very swift and the calls are not rushed they take the time to help me. I think this practice is outstanding and I am very happy with the treatment provided. The practice has various online resources on their own website which is amazing and an app so you can request medical appointments and any other treatment you require with medication. This is certainly a GP practice that is very equipped and has updated resources for everyone to use.

The receptionist was very friendly, understanding and helpful. A doctor called me back within 10 minutes and also offered me an appointment at the practice to reassure me about my daughter. I was given an appointment 40 minutes later. In arrival, we sat in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes. the doctor was thorough and ensured he answered any questions I had. I couldn’t have asked for anymore; other recent experiences have also been the same.

Initial response was excellent. I phoned your surgery as I was coughing blood. The receptionist was excellent and within a few minutes the emergency doctor phoned and sent me to Stamford for a chest X-Ray. To have had an X-Ray within an hour of my initial call is excellent. Fortunately I received a text on Monday saying that the X-Rays were fine but for me to contact you for a follow up appointment. This is when it became difficult. I phoned up to make an appointment for later in the week but was advised that I couldn’t do this and would have to phone up at 8.00 in the morning to make an appointment for that day. I am driving to work at that time. I appreciate that your reason for this policy is due to the number of wasted appointments with people not turning up but penalise these people. Finally at all times your staff were professional, polite and helpful.

I logged on to the new site to see what it was like and to see what information was available. I noticed that it was possible to arrange an appointment and on checking there was just one slot available and it was for the next day so I arranged the appointment and true to your word the doctor rang very close to the appointed time. In view of that I cannot fault the arrangements, however what did surprise me was that this was the only appointment listed for the next 16weeks according to the site.

I required to see a doctor to prescribe antibiotics recommended by my podiatrist. I had to be seen that day as I was leaving on a month long trip the following day. I was seen within an hour and, after a short consultation, was prescribed the antibiotics. Once again excellent service from Hereward.

The lady I saw was extremely helpful, went in depth to ensure that all my worries were dealt with and that any medical issue I had could be treated as well as possible, taking clear consideration of my pregnancy into account to ensure the best treatment for myself whilst not affecting my baby. Telephone consultation, as face to face wasn’t necessary. This was with a Dr with an interest in women’s health, which is what I requested.
I asked all my planned questions, we had a discussion about this, given the link for an app and a website for further reading before I could decide on how I would like to proceed. Also given an appointment on this call to see the practice nurse and a referral to book for an USS.

Care excellent . Parking diabolical, completely insufficient for a practice with so much footfall and patients. This nonsense of offloading booking etc to sun contractors is ridiculous, to my knowledge you have outsourced this to at least four companies in the last 10 years. Far too beaucratic difficult to even subscribe let alone use for seniors which are your overwhelming customers . You are good at the subsidiary medical services the gov pay you for ie vacs etc but otherwise from the just about everyone I speak to you are failing. Too much spin not enough core function. Sorry but facts are facts. I guess this one will not be published!

May be if the GP’s see patients instead of a phone call or sending them straight to A&E the NHS service wouldn’t be in such a mess. Once apon a time you couldn’t get a prescription via phone because the doctor needed to see a patient, now it’s just write a prescription from a conversation on the phone. Only way you get into the surgery is via vaccination programs which they get paid extra for! But remember don’t ask them anything about your health whilst they give you the vaccine, that would need any other phone call !

Just joined the practice having moved to Bourne, if the service i have received in the short time i have been a patient is what i can expect as normal i am more than impressed. The treatment and attention i have received has been tremendous. Always polite when engaging with staff and helpful with phone queries. Unfortunately, when referred the NHS and the waiting list it has for treatment do not compare to the empathy received by the doctors at lakeside. Their hands are tied by the timescales for that treatment. All in all, an excellent doctors, which i have already recommended to friends moving to Bourne.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The doctor called back in the afternoon as promised in the morning phone call conversation. I was offered an appointment for my daughter the same afternoon. On arrival at the surgery, we only waited for 5 minutes before seeing the doctor. She was very pleasant, made conversation with both myself & my daughter & generally showed an interest in my daughter’s health. She was also very reassuring that, as parents, we have provided our daughter with the correct treatment.

Ringing just after eight in the morning Doctor Grigson rang me after nine I went into the surgery for examination and she ordered blood tests. Dr Grigson rang me back early evening and told me to go straight to hospital where I was diagnosed with a kidney stone causing a blockage which was treated with a stent the next day, so a very good experience

Very hard to get an appointment, very rare to get in the practice it's usually done by phone, Most of the staff i have come in to contact with are polite but useless. Can never see the same doctor twice and they don't seem to know how to read a case file before making a call. impersonal, uninterested.
3-4 years I've been trying to get pain medication that works, I'm in pain every day and it seems that I'm going to be for the rest of my life.
I don't think anyone should be left in pain this long, Wouldn't stand for it being done to an animal

Once you understand how their system works it’s fine. I requested a GP telephone consultation, my GP phoned. Explained my symptoms Which were very painful and restricted me immensely.
My GP prescribed medication immediately and it was available at the Dispensary immediately. By evening I could feel my symptoms wane. The first straight sleep I’ve had in ages. Excellent consultation, medication and reassurance from my GP. I could not see how anything could improve, outstanding treatment. So very grateful.

I attended for my 2nd shingles injection. To start with it was difficult to find an appointment on the required date, but the receptionist persisted and got me an appointment. I used the self booking in system and it was only a few minutes before i was called through for the injection.

Dr Faisal was able to diagnose, prescribe and reassure me about mystery itchy rash all over my body that I had had for 4 weeks. Told it was an allergy rash so stopped various meds and foods but nothing had helped. My immune system had produced this rash, apparently, because of stress of insomnia and pain caused by so much diagnosed wrong in my lower back. Dr Faisal assured me the rash will eventually go with strong steroid cream and antihistamines. I came away walking on air just to know what it was at last and it will eventually go.

I found the process of getting an appointment straight forward. I like the fact the doctor rings you up to discuss your issue and then decides if you need a face to face appointment or not as sometimes an actual appointment isnt needed which saves both the patient and doctor's time.

I received a call from Dr Noble within a couple of hours of my call with your receptionist. Dr Noble diagnosed my issue quite quickly after a short discussion and I was provided with the remedy. I have been to the chemist and purchased the recommended decongestion spray which works and has reduced my congestion in a short space of time. As usual, Hereward medical centre excelled in their administration of the flu and covid injections. There were many people queuing but everyone was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The staff were all very helpful and made sure that we were all put at ease and tbh, it was carried through like clockwork. Many thanks to all the lovely staff who were there.

Cannot praise this Hereward Practice in Exeter Street, Bourne, Lincs,highly enough. Always cheerful helpful Receptionists.
Appointments always kept on time.
Efficient Nurses and Doctors available when asked for their advice/treatment. My Doc always phoned me back same day if a request/enquiry was made earlier in the day.
Dispensary very efficient and the delivery each time to my home (a distance of 5 miles) when due for a repeat prescription - has been especially appreciated.
Covid/flu jab appointment today was on time, swift with records kept up straight on arrival. Never felt a thing! Courteous Doc who greeted me - and afterwards saw me to the outer door which was much appreciated.

Really felt valued this time from the advice given by the receptionist to the ‘over the phone consultion’ . I was asked which Doctor I would prefer,as they were not available I largely happily go with any doctor on the practice, after all they all access the same record of information. When the doctor phoned she was extremely pleasant and easy to talk to, all my questions were answered fully and I at no time felt I was being rushed - super experience (if a doctors appointment can ever be described as such). Thank you very much.

Interview was polite and very professional. My only misgiving is that my GP was quite obviously on a strict time limit. This is not in anyway a criticism as I am well aware of the pressure the NHS is under.

I was in a queue of 9 people at 8.15am. When I eventually got to speak to the receptionist, all the ring back appointments had been taken
She was very helpful when I told her that I had tried on several occasions with the same answer. It seems to be the ‘Norm’ nowadays!!!
The receptionist very kindly got the Practice nurse to ring me back in the afternoon. She then let me have specimen bottles to be sent off to the Lab.
Also may I add that the car park was full but with ONLY 1 person was in the Waiting room!!!

I was in excruciating pain with sciatica, the receptionist was very helpful and arranged a callback by the doctor. After the phone call the doctor offered an appointment that day for an assessment. I used the Doctrin system for an online consultation. The response was very quick, an appointment was offered for the same day and the NP sought a second opinion from the duty doctor who took my concerns seriously and discussed treatment. I cannot fault this service. Thank you very much.

I moved to Bourne just over a year ago when I registered with Hereward Practice. I have been completely blown away by the service and care that I have received throughout the whole team! The receptionists are approachable, kind and efficient. The actual care provided is excellent but the means of making arrangements remotely is weak. In my case, I received a letter to arrange a phone consultation with a doctor. I have a busy job so can’t wait for ages for my call to be answered. Eventually I got through, was told no more phone consultations were available. I asked for a phone consultation tomorrow but was simply told ‘phone back at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning’ . I’m in a meeting then so no doubt when I do manage to phone and get through, they’re won’t be any consultations left and I’ll be asked again to call back the following day and the saga will repeat itself.

Yesterday (Thursday) about 11.30 i asked reception for a doctors appointment, doctor rang me about 2pm and asked me to see him at 3pm, and i have my prescription today, i was pleased it was quick service, and it was a very pleasant doctor that saw me. I spoke with Dr Taylor on Doctrin on Tuesday and she offered me an appt for this morning. Very thorough assessment and investigations discussed. Bloods and Xray done at Stamford straight after Dr Taylors consultation. Dr Taylor was very warm and welcoming, professional and great at listening.
